CCR Expo announces support for JCCP launch

CCR Expo announces its reaction to the official launch of the Joint Council for Cosmetic Practitioners (JCCP) and Cosmetic Practice Standards Authority (CPSA).

The JCCP is a new, voluntary, not-for-profit, regulatory body that will oversee both patient safety and public protection in the cosmetic sector (1). Working closely with the CPSA, its new and comprehensive evidence-based set of practice and education standards, will be delivered to achieve full implementation across the sector in the UK (1). The Practitioner Register and Register of Approved Training Providers will open on March 1st 2018 (1).

Alison Willis, Divisional Director, represented CCR Expo at the JCCP and CPSA launch event at the House of Lords on February 22nd. She comments, “As CCR Expo bridges the gap between surgical and non-surgical aesthetic communities, we support the introduction of registers across the industry to promote patient safety and public protection. These new Standards will have an effect on the industry and we will work closely with the JCCP to provide guidance and discussion on this topic for CCR delegates attending the conference in October.”

Professor David Sines CBE, chair of the JCCP says, “The JCCP is delighted to have the support of CCR and looks forward to outlining more detail on its activities and progress on implementation at CCR in October to the many stakeholders and practitioners who will be visiting this show.”

CCR Expo 2018 will be held on October 4 and 5 at Olympia, London. The two day event is an opportunity for medical aesthetics professionals to discuss industry issues with experts, network with the community and source market leading products.
